Sarah Piccone, OTR/L
Sarah Piccone is a licensed occupational therapist with over 12 years of experience in the area of pediatrics. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with honors in 2003. In her career, Sarah has worked in a variety of settings, including pediatric hospitals in the NICU and rehab units, public schools, in-home early intervention, and private practices. She also currently works in adult acute care on the weekends. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Sarah moved to San Diego in 2012, and has also worked in Maryland, Washington DC, and even had an opportunity to work as a civilian contractor for the United States Air Force on Lajes Air Force Base in the Azores. Her clinical experience includes assessment and treatment of children with a variety of disorders and diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, writing difficulties and fine motor delays, and sensory processing difficulties. She is trained in Infant Massage and Therapeutic Listening, and has experience in upper extremity splinting, taping and casting. Sarah loves the challenge of making frustrating or difficult tasks fun for her clients, and finds working with children and families immensely rewarding.
